    iirc Toys doesn't do repairs anymore, and ossining music is defunct. that just about does it for central westchester. i know there's a guy that does good work up in rhinebeck but that's kinda far. you could also do it yourself. replacing an input jack is probably the most foolproof repair...

    low-watt amp, monster cab

    Heh, it's obvious now. Somehow I was thinking that more speakers would create more resistance for the amp, but obviously the overall impedance is already 8 ohms, which means it'll draw a fixed amount of current, which means that a louder amp is more efficient... duh. Thanks for the quick reply.

    What about Electric? I know they're not strictly bass amps but they're absolutely monstrous sounding and built to last.
