    The 6105 fret's are what i use. they feel better and i like the tone. my fret board is pau ferro seem's to have a little more edge with my p bass.

    when your talking pickguard i don't care for the pickguard when you spend a lot of money for a nice body wood why cover it up. on my jazz bass i just went for the control plate 3 screws. on my p bass i cut the pickguard to fit just the control cavity. if anything go's wrong with a solder joint...
