i try a set of rotosound flats on my jazz 40/100 and the bill lawrence j45's pickup's, alder body.

any body tried the bill Lawrence j45 jazz bass pickups yet?

The 6105 fret's are what i use. they feel better and i like the tone. my fret board is pau ferro seem's to have a little more edge with my p bass.

I am waiting for the neck j45 from bill Lawrence, as far as i am concerned the hunt for jazz pickup's is over.

i like the bill Lawrence j45's jazz set for bass pickups. my p bass has the p46 wilde. This is all you need. ive tryed everything in the book.the search is over.

I am doing a build now with a j45 bridge and a j45 neck with bill Lawrence pickup's and a Emerson custom prewired jazz set up, a little price'e but great custom work and tone.

when your talking pickguard i don't care for the pickguard when you spend a lot of money for a nice body wood why cover it up. on my jazz bass i just went for the control plate 3 screws. on my p bass i cut the pickguard to fit just the control cavity. if anything go's wrong with a solder joint...

If you want a p bass sound get a p bass, if you want a jazz bass sound get a jazz bass. Simple trick. get both. lol.
