I recently got a Black top jazz 4 string. I had never seen one before. I named her Irma.

My arsenal left to right- Vox Cougar, Fender American Standard Jaguar, Warwick FNA Jazz 5 string, Fender Blacktop Jazz, Warwick Corvette fretless w/modifications, Fender Jaguar. Each very different, nothing mainstream.

A few summers ago I got a hot rod red MIJ model that I love and then saw a mistic red American Standard Jag bass on FB marketplace marked down to $1300 from $1400. I waited. It dropped to $1200 and then $1100 and when It hit $1000 I drove from Madison, WI to St. Louis. Best purchase I made in...
