I just submitted a copyright request for a bass composition

I don't recall seeing "Form SR" or "Form PA". I went to https://eco.copyright.gov/ and clicked "Register a New Claim". The entire process took about 15 minutes and cost $35. I've received verification of registration and payment. The hard copy will arrive in the mail in about EIGHT MONTHS.

I just submitted a copyright request for a bass composition

I just submitted a copyright request for a bass composition. I did it just for the heck of it. Has anyone else done this? Other than getting spam solicitations in the mail, are there any negative consequences?

I play electric bass guitar in a town band - need amp suggestions

Thanks guys. I'll look for used equipment first. Now back to bass combo amps. lomo wrote: " ... if the head is rated to be able to produce more power than the speaker is rated to handle, you have to be careful with the volume, lest you blow the speaker." Can I assume that the built-in head in...

I play electric bass guitar in a town band - need amp suggestions

Set aside combo amps for a moment. Regarding amps and speakers - Let me get this straight; I plug my bass into a head (an amp?) which is has one or more cabs (speakers) attached to it? Which means, at home I can attach a small practice speaker, and for a concert I can attach a bigger speaker...

I play electric bass guitar in a town band - need amp suggestions

The band is not amplified. They are plenty loud and I want to make sure I'm not drowned out. They never had an EBG before and no one there can tell me what's needed. This is a concert band, not an orchestra. (Like a college marching band without the marching.) I'm the only stringed instrument.

I play electric bass guitar in a town band - need amp suggestions

I just started playing EBG in December. I wanted to play with people right away so I joined a town band. I play tuba and bassoon parts with my EBG in a 50 member band that plays in churches, gyms, and rec centers. (Want a challenge? Try playing a bassoon part. I'm learning the fretboard real...

Double Bass Should I go electric bass guitar or upright?

Which is easier to start out with, the electric bass guitar (EBG) or the electric upright bass? I love the sound of both. The question is really about the difference in playing comfort. Which is more relaxed? Does the upright require less flexibility with the left hand? A long time ago I...

    Looking for an amp cover

bulldog, I'm going to give my wife a crack at making one. She hasn't used her sewing machine in years so I forgot she has one. If that doesn't work out, I'll look into the other suggestions/sites. Thanks

    Hi, I'm Steve. I'm gonna buy a bass ...

It sounds great. I'm taking it pretty slow, just working on learning the lower fretboard, scales, pentatonics, common progressions, dampening. No songs yet. I'm enjoying it. I'm using Hal Leonard's BASS METHOD Complete Edition and Hal Leonard's BLUES BASS. But mostly, I'm playing scales. I think...

OP update: to go along with my Yamaha TBRX304 4-string I bought a Fender Rumble 15, and a set of VOX AMPHONESBASS Active Amplifier Headphones. My wife loves the headphones.
