I have tons of little words and sentences scribbled down that I sort of just stumble across randomly. Whenever I need a song name/band name/lyric/whatever, I go back to those and see if there are any that fit the song/band/whatever.

From what I remember, the bass is being held up by the strap. As you may notice, he's bent way over, allowing the bass to sling forward while still being held by the strap. Can't say I know for sure, though.

I personally just leave my tuning the same and learn to play it that way. Mostly it confuses the guitarists more than it confuses me.

One of Myung's trademarks is exactly that, though: He bashes the hell out of the strings when in low registers, giving it that "slappy" sound.

You lost me somewhere around the first line. Why would you need alternate tunings to play power chords? Power chords are easy to fret.

Eh, I have a hard time figuring out what you need a DJ for in a band setting, unless you're hellbent on having record scratching in your music. Going by the link you posted, however, what you're probably looking for is a synth player.

I like slapping in some contexts, but what really bothers me about it is how often it is used for soloing. It's like there is no other technique you can use while soloing other than slapping. It gets old really really fast.
