Hi! I had a 135 on my old basic Ken Taylor, and had no issues at either end. I'm a 40-120 guy now though! :D

I've had 7 Sandbergs now, and never had a problem with the bridges, or heard of it before, so maybe you must got a bad one somehow. Sandberg are very helpful, you can email their service department [email protected] They sometimes take a few days to reply, but should be able to help.

Well, Peavey customer service is pretty much non-existent isn't i! I've sent them a couple of emails, and seem to just get single sentence answers, no pleasantries, and no answers. In my last email, I put as much detail as I could about the bass, including pictures of it, the serial number...

It's all so weird, even if these USA Grinds were 'prototypes', you'd think they would have at least have a record somewhere of them? Do Peavey not make any USA basses anymore? Seems a shame if they don't, but I guess it was a commercial decision, and they just weren't viable anymore.

Maybe not, that's got to be a strong possibility. I can't understand why they never did, it's a superb bass! Still gotta finish setting it up, but it seems fantastic. Certainly playability-wise it's one of the nicest playing basses I've ever had my hands on! Not convinced about the electronics...
