Gallien Krueger Club. GK Rules !

I always use the built in limiter on my MBF500, and haven't noticed any clipping issues. That rig will be very loud, make sure you use the pad if you are driving it with an active bass.

At half volume I still get told to turn down at rehearsals (hard rock, two guitars and drums) when using the MB212. By the sound of it you need a MBFusion 800 :)

The MB112 is great for home/rehearsals - but for gigs I use a MBFusion & MB212 -still portable and light. The MB112 doesn't quite cut it against drums.

Band member communication - what are reasonable response times?

If I need to get in touch with a band-mate, I'll spell it out in an email, if it's urgent I shoot them a txt to tell them to check their email, if it's an emergency I call them - but we're all down with paying simple respect and being available to each other. You shouldn't have to wait more...

Gallien Kreuger Official Club Pt. 11

Finally picked up a 4 ohm MBE212 today, which means the MBFusion is running at full power and sounds positively thunderous :hyper:. On top I'm using an MB112 for voicing and FX My little tower of power as it stands now.

    What's your dream bass?

Dream Bass: An Alembic made, John Entwistle designed 5 string Buzzard Bass.... which is why it is a dream. My $$5 is filling that gap for now... :D

Gallien Krueger Official Club: Pt 10

Average photo, but the start of my bi-amp system: MBFusion > 15/6 LDS for the clean and my new MB112 for the effects (and doing small gigs)... Thinking I might replace the 15/6 with either a 2x15 fEARful or a passive MBP212 to match.

Boiled my strings for the first time....Holy Sh*t

I used to do this all the time back in the day. Never had a string break, but admittedly they lose a little bit of body. I generally boiled them until I could see the water bubble up with grime which is all the sweat, dirt and skin that kills them in the first place - which only took a couple...

    Practice amp or mixer?

If you want a mixer, get something software based (REAPER / Pro Tools etc) and spend your 'hardware' money on something USB enabled to get instruments into your laptop. I've used a Zoom B2.1u for a long time to practice, record, and play live with - versatile, heaps of effects to play with...

Gallien Krueger Official Club: Pt 10

After a lot of thought, I went and bought an MB112 today to add as a bi-amp top end to run effects through, and give me something small and functional for acoustic trio gigs and practice. I am nothing short of ecstatic at how good it sounds and how loud it is and how little it weighs - a big...
