Not to mention the current is going to be flowing through your tongue not your body. I'd say the current definitely wont kill you. That doesnt mean germs or chemicals wouldnt.

Have you tried using an ebow?

Another thing to check before you take to the tech is if the cooling fan is still running and blowing cold air. i had a similar problem with a HA700, where the cooling fan got unplugged so the amp would cut off after working for a bit.

I am a pick player and definalty second uhdinator in saying getting the fender heavy triangle. It feels very natural on bass and is hard to drop. Id say just start using first on easy songs then move up and make a habit of using alternate up-down picking.

You should trying playing around with chordmaps: [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] it could help break you out of your rut. Also dont forget its not just the chord progression its also how long you hold each chord.
