    Post-Build Log: The Thunderman

Thinking about it I've actually seen that before - surgical tube too - I'll have to try it sometime.

    Post-Build Log: The Thunderman

The headpieces seem small, but they do function perfectly. I haven't had any issues with them slipping. The only thing I would have made is two screws, and they are working on that. I have a big block Guyker lock for my current build (two hex screws per string), but I think I'm still going to...

    Post-Build Log: The Thunderman

First and foremost: I want to thank all the fine folks here on Talkbass. There's over 25 years worth of information on this site and it is absolutely invaluable, and there's no way I would be as comfortable doing my projects if it didn't exist. If I had any questions this was the first place I...

    Post-Build Log: The Thunderman

Hi guys! I was digging through some old pictures and finally decided to put together a post-build log of my second bass build. I didn't do a super great job of documenting it, but, hope that putting this together could maybe push some aspiring builders into taking the leap into their own...

    The Passinwind Open Source Preamp

Thanks for the response! Would any of the V1 or V2 boards be better suited for onboard installs? Sorry to hear that you'll be moving on soon, you're a wealth of knowledge for our community.

    The Passinwind Open Source Preamp

Hi guys, looking to adapt this for an onboard preamp on one of my next bass builds. Trying to determine what the best configuration would be to do this? I'd like to try just the variable LPF, but I'm a little confused - the Github says its not for standalone use, but the Oshpark description says...

    Building My First fEarful!

Mounted in the cabinet, finalizing the wiring. Going to tidy some of the runs. Basically have to wire and mount the speakers and it will be playable. Adhered with industrial 3m velcro.. the plastic stuff.. I don't think they're going anywhere.

    Building My First fEarful!

Long time no post but finally back at it! Cabinet is together and I have started wiring the true 3 way crossover. Progress picture here. Should I mount these on the back or bottom of the cabinets?

    P J J Wiring Guidance

Great! I'll be wiring this up in a few weeks once I have the rest of the parts in.. I'll update. Hoping that these diagrams can be useful to others trying to do similar projects (I saw a few on here!). I appreciate everyone's help here. I have a general idea what I'm doing, but never really...

Awesome! Now, last one.. Trying to understand how to connect the preamp before the volume. I've mapped out the MEC preamp that I have on hand. From my understanding, the grey wire is the preamp in, white wire is preamp out, black wire is ground, purple is battery negative. Again, thank you!

You're right about not being able to turn off the Jazz pickups.. what would I need to change to add a third switch to control those being on or off together? Would I be placing a 2 way switch before or after the 3 way toggle?

Just trying to make it a two-way on / off switch to activate and deactivate the pickup independently from the other two.
