You had to set it up for those gauges right?

I believe so, some people say they're too heavy for the neck. Is 45-105 a standard? Seems like they ship all their basses with that gauge.

I have an MIM geddy and I'm planning on putting some d addario exl165 strings on it. The gauges are 45-105. I've heard some horror stories about these necks, anyone experience any problems using this gauge?

If this is the case, a bigger gauge should solve the problem?

I currently use ernie ball super slinkys on my geddy (45-100). They feel pretty loose. I've read that the d'addario XL's have a stiffer feel. I'm planning on getting the same gauge.

Thanks, I have actually taken the neck off and shipping everything in a smaller box. This has been the best method for me. Unfortunately, I included the case in the sale. In the meanwhile I will await a response and continue my box hunting.

Mama Mia! Sounds very risky. I was thinking about removing it if possible. But it was just an idea. More curiosity than anything. I don't mind it, even if it feels sticky when it's hot, that would be the only downside. So do the relic basses also have this glass like finish? Anyone know. Well...

is this even possible? i've seen some relic basses, then took a closer look and it seems so unnatural. i havent seen a good bass these days with some real wear and tear on them. what the ????????

just wondering, specifically about the fender and squier necks. does anyone know if the squier necks are as good as the fender MIM necks? i mean do they have the same type of sturdy truss rod? i own a fender MIM and the neck is pretty stable, wondering if i can expect the same with a squier...

That Roland CB100 looks pretty damn cool. Perfect for what I need actually . But I think it's been discontinued. I've also been looking at the fender rumble 75 watt amp, 12" speaker... Anyone ever try one of these?
