I've got a Jazz bass body that I'm going to make into a "tractor bass" It'll be setup with a Darkstar in the neck and the neck p/u moved directly in front of the bridge p/u. Does anyone have experience with this kind of thing? I'm looking for any suggestions or general words of wisdom. Thanks.

Sorry I haven't updated this in a while. So about 3 months later I've been gigging with the Aguilar Octamizer and absolutely love it. My organ player has also purchased one and can't get enough of it.

I just got a sick deal on a 74 Peavey musician head and need a footswitch for it, only problem is it uses a 4 pin footswitch. Does anyone have any ideas as to what I can use or where to look?

I enjoy the sound of my bass but need to replace my pickups. The stock pickups are giving me problems with cutting in/out and they are a little noisy. Any good suggestions? I play funk blues rock and jam music.

So I've been trying to order a black badass bridge for about a month now and can't find one anywhere. I was thinking about switching to a hipshot bridge but not sure how people like it. I was also thinking of replacing it with the single string bridges. Does anyone have experience/ advice on either?

Thanks man very helpful. I ripped the frets outta my jazz about ten years ago and have played with rounds ever since. I am looking for a very distinctive sound and think this is what I want to do. I played fretless in a metal band for about 2 years so props for the Priest with fretless.

Anybody heard or played moses or other graphite fretless necks? I'm wondering if I would like the sound on a MIM Deluxe active Jazz. SD 1/4lb in the bridge and a SD SCPB-3 ('51 P-Bass) in the neck. Any thoughts or suggestions are very welcome. Thanks
