Cheers guys. It's definitely the neck dive. I spent ages messing about with straps and I just couldn't get it to sit right. It's either going to need some kind of bracket/extender added or it will be for the chopping board... A shame because I really do like the neck.

So, been playing a bit more. I really like this bass (CSB-380). Question though, on a strap the first fret feels very far away, somewhat undoing the medium scale feel.anyone got any tips?

Hi folks I have a B3 but I'm thinking of downsizing to the ms-60b because it's much smaller and I tend to "set and forget". Does the ms60b have enough output to drive a power amp?

Depends on the venue, depends on the band, depends on the show. What is appropriate for a bar covers band isn't always appropriate for a heavy duty rock n roll band, and vice versa.

If I wanted a jazz in a distinctive colour I'd buy a US standard and get it refinned in the colour of my choice. It would almost certainly be cheaper than buying this.

Its just E, A, and B the whole way through isn't it? There's almost nothing other than the root notes. I think the odd octave gets thrown in here and there but the rhythm is the only really important thing to get right.

Here's my Tribute M-2000 which I got a few months back. Its really hard to capture the real colour in a photo, it really is "transparent" black. Lovely bass this, the neck is fantastic and much comfier for my hands than the L-2000 tributes I tried which were just a bit too chunky. The preamp is...
