I think the Bergantino is a wonderful idea. At some point I'm getting their amp, because of the massive & accurate tonal control. Their 12" cab is designed to do what you want sound-wise-at 32#! From your description I'd pass on the neo version. $1000.

Consider something else? I believe manufacturers always consider ease of shipping, and particularly size or weight restrictions UPS and others use. Then they design around these parameters and come up with something that works, but with compromises. I'd be interested to know who uses out there...
