Thomastik flat strings

Hello,
I just bought Thomastik-Infeld flat to try, intrigued ny some rave reviews. I bought these for a Fender 4 string Jazz, but I'm wondering if they'd be more appropriate for a Fretless I ow.
Players have commented on instrument setup being finicky, say, using bridge mount instead of body through mounting
Any advice, suggestions, thoughts?
Respectfully

I've used them on a fretless bass, and didn't like them. the comparison was with a set of D'Addario Chromes 45-100, wich I preferred on the fretless.

the TI are my favourite flats on fretted basses :) I love them and use them since 2011 religiously.

I've used them on my Precision basses (both fretted and fretless) and found them to be simply wonderful. As far as flatwounds go, they are in a class of their own in their feel and tone. They are not flats for those who prefer the higher tensioned flats or old school thump. I tend to think of them as flats for folks who prefer rounds, if that makes any sense.
