Ampeg BA-110 V2 or Tech 21 SansAmp Character VT Bass DI: home recording/practice?

SCR-DI looks great OK! Was just about to go for the VTDI actually...think I still might, it seems to be a bit of a sure shot...SCR looks interesting though, the ultra low might work well with my Mustang bass...hmmm... I'll leave the BA for now anyway, until I have a few spare squid...

Ampeg BA-110 V2 or Tech 21 SansAmp Character VT Bass DI: home recording/practice?

Sweet! Great reply....maybe I should just get a v1 B108 and a VTDI...would you consider using the BA in a recording at all? Sometimes I just really need some real air!?! - Thanks!

    Mid-priced bass for a guitarist who likes a short neck/light strings (10s)...

Cheers, I got the Mustang in the end, went with a VM, €350, great little bass, hoping to mod it with some Northstrands and better pots soon...it sounds great though as is with a set of heavier strings, 45-110.

I can play Bass but I can't play Guitar

You only need a tiny bit of nail along the side to get a good tone on a classical (file a kind of rounded nail; shouldn't affect your bass playing), the idea is to catch the string with both your nail and flesh, starting on the two and finishing with the nail (if that makes sense)...a good way...

    Broken Collarbone

...broke mine 4 years ago, it was "displaced", healed about two inches short, lower, and off to the side...doctors assured me it would be OK at the time and stood by their "appraisal" thereafter, but it's messed up my shoulder and keeps getting worse with time (including constant mild pain...
