Yes, you can put any pedal in the FX loop of the MX5 Yes, you can design scenes which switches/changes multiple pedals simultaneously Yes, signal splitting can be done as you described (for as far as I know)

Can you give some more details about how to achieve this? Left-Right signal splitting? Aside from this - I always have my own amp with me, or at least, I was never in a situation where I had not at least my own head. And FOH usually uses the DI box that is between my pedalboard and my amp

Ah, that's a bummer. I hoped that I could load my own profiles into the legacy unit. I don't use amp or cabinet simulation, only effects. I tried a factory rig with Ampeg amp and cab and yes, there's loads of OOMPH in there, but I don't want amp simulation, just the effects

I just bought a used Headrush Gigboard - I wanted to try something new and reduce the pedals on my board while, simultaneously, increase my options. I did some research about the Line6, Fractal, Boss and Headrush stuff and figured that almost everything is targeted at guitarists, so regardless...

I might trade my Darkglass 900 for a Laney Nexus Tube

Tried once once, couple of years ago, but was not my thing. I especially dislike the lunchbox formfactor

I might trade my Darkglass 900 for a Laney Nexus Tube

Yes. The rehearsal location has some Hartke VX 410 and an Ampeg 4x10. But these cabs are not really my cup of tea, I like the small formfactor and low weight of my fEARfuls. I would never buy these, so the comparison was a theoretical one. So doing away the Laney was just logical. I took the...

I might trade my Darkglass 900 for a Laney Nexus Tube

I ended up selling the Laney Nexus head again. After the initial hype I quickly remembered why I sold my previous tube head, too. It just does not work well with the fEARful 12/6 cabinets. The tube heads just don't push enough clean power. Funny thing: The new owner does not use the head for...

I might trade my Darkglass 900 for a Laney Nexus Tube

It actually happened! Look how nice it fits the fEARful 12/6 enclosure!! I totally forgot to take a picture when I took it for rehearsals, but it fits the cabinets as if it was made for it. Heavy as heck, 36 kg, enough heat from the tubes to dry your socks. And it sounds! THICK! More then...

Thanks! Yes, this thing is mightily heavy

I might trade my Darkglass 900 for a Laney Nexus Tube

Re-tubing the power section is absolutely a good point - depending on the tubes is between 300-400 euros (exservice). Tubes are pretty new according to the seller, though. I don't think I would play this amp very often, only during rehearsals and, if it sounds really great, on very great gigs...

I might trade my Darkglass 900 for a Laney Nexus Tube

But should I? I have no good relationship with that darkglass Amp. It is powerful as hell, but I don't like its sound. After having the B7k for several years, and then going the Darkglass900 route... I am just not satisfied with the Darkglass sound at all. So I wouldn't miss it. I saw the Laney...

I am looking for a new Octaver

Allright, I went through all your suggestions - The C4: It might be the best option, but also the most expensive one. For what I intend to do, it's just out of the question. - EHX Nano Pog: Sounds interesting, bit on the expensive side, too. But simple and well done - Boss OC-5: Cannot say why...

I am looking for a new Octaver

Hi guys, With new band and new style of music come new desires. I want to add an octaver to my board. In the past I just toyed with cheap ones (e.g. Behringer) and was not particularly impressed. But I want to give it a new shot. Now I know from the past that the EBS octaver was much praised...

Something Like Kalium, but available in europe?

Bloody Hell, I stand corrected. I finally had these strings in my mailbox today, and these might be the best string I have ever played. First impression was: A bit stiff, rough, and a bit more tension than I fancy, but after 5 minutes of playing these strings really start to shine. They allow...
