Pick, Fingers, Thumb what is your choice

not to offend any pick players, but tell me if I'm wrong: 1. Most recognized bass players use FINGERS. (Victor wooten, stanley clarke, marcus miller, geddy lee, les claypool, jaco pastirus etc.) 2. there aren't as many things you can do with pick that you can with fingers. when you play with...

    Berklee Application

I was just wondering whether anybody has knowledge about Berklee because I want to join this school. My main questions are: 1. What are the requirements to join? (school certificate, or stuff like that) 2. What musical knowledge and backround do you need to enter? (I'm guessing you HAVE to...

    Lounge bass tab

I'm to lazy to do that... but I think the song is just octaves or fifths I'm not sure which of those. Try doing the bassline with any note by using octaves and fifths, see if that rings a bell. (Also try 3rd, 4th 6th etc... I'm noob but that bassline isn't hard to get by ear)

    Bass Progression

I was thinking the other day because when I was about to join a music academy, they told me the place was full, and now I have to wait until next year for a spot to open, because there is also a wait list. Meanwhile, I want to learn on my own. I can't read music, (The first reason why I wanted...

    Recomendations?

Hi, I'm going to make my first buy, and I'm not an expert in pedals, so I wanted a few recommendations on what multi-effect or pedals are good quality. I want a pedal that includes the basics: distortions, delay, reverb etc. My budget is a max of 400$. Any suggestions?

    Need recommendations for light basses

I believe Yamaha has a bass that actually is called ''Lightweight Bass'' Try guitarcenter and look for it there, it's a four stringer, VERY good looking, I believe about 300$.

    Help with first buy please

Hi there, I was just wondering whether anybody could give me suggestions on my first buy for bass effects. I've looked up many multi-effects and pedal boards, but haven't got the chance to try them, so I can't decide what I would choose. I'm not into complicated-alien effects. I'm looking for...

    Geddy Lee's YYZ

I've been playing for a year and this song has been a real challenge, so far, it's been one month learning it. I pretty much have all the main riffs, but I'm having trouble with the solos. I think I'm playing the first one right, I don't know the second one, and I'm missing the harmonics on the...

    Right hand plucking

I've now been playing for about one year, and during this time, I have discovered many, yet I think not enough right hand plucking techniques. So far, I know: 1. Normal plucking, just index and middle. 2. Slap, using thumb only. 3. Slap and pop, thumb with the additional pop of either...
