Blood blister! what can I do?

Update! I got no pain playing on this blood blister, that was actually a scab, because playing the surface layer of the callus-skin has been "scretched" by the strings and 2 days ago after playing I noticed that the dark spot was anymore on my fingertip :D Thank you again guys ;)

Blood blister! what can I do?

I tried to pop it with a needle, but I don't feel like do it :S I'm already using tea tree essential oil, I'll try to soak the blister into water & salt too. For now I'm avoiding to press the strings directly with the blister.. let's see how it goes :) :bassist:

Why it so hard for me to learn a song?

in fact I play a lot by ear, sometimes I write whole tabs (without searching online tabs at all) by myself just listening to the song (if I find the bass only track is better), but I write them down just to remember them better, I think that it develops anyway my ear, isn't it?

Why it so hard for me to learn a song?

In effect the songs I'm learning are from Iron Maiden for the most part, maybe they are not so easy..at least for me they are not, I don't know if are considered easy or difficult. You all are right about don't rely too much on tabs, I have already seen that most of the times some parts are...

Why it so hard for me to learn a song?

maybe I got a wrong leaning technique? I know a lot of riffs but I can play only 2 songs decently for their whole lenght along with the track, and I have been playing bass for almost a year. There are some hand positions I find very simple to learn, but there are some patterns that are really...

    Buy music sheet on line?

I found some sites where to buy music sheets, but to buy you got to have an account. The thing I don't understand is why should I insert my address if the tab is in PDF, or at least I think is meant to a PDF file to download, and not paper sheets they send you at home.. I want to be sure that...

Strings flat on the fretboard what should I do?

I followed your suggestions, I lowered the action and set the D and A a bit higher than E and G, now there is a little bit of arc, but just a tiny bit. Now remains the buzz issue. I like a low action, but even if I lowered it a lot remains alway too high, and also frets from the 12° on buzz. But...

Strings flat on the fretboard what should I do?

the strings have no arc, are all at the same height. And further if I low the action like I want, some frets after the 12° buzz. I read that for the arc of the strings I should loosen the truss rod, but for the buzz I should tighten it, so what should I do? I'm a bit lost..

    Further information about string change

I need some tips about how to change the strings, since I never changed them yet. I already read a lot about that and watched a lot of videos, but I still have doubt about a couple of things. First, since I have to take off all of the strings in order to be able to clean the fretboard...

First strings change, is it more difficult play with a heavier gauge?

ok, finally today I bought the new strings, the gauge of each string is 45-65-85-105. They seems to be a little thicker than my current strings, hope that it will not be too heavy, the bridge rip off thing scared me a little :hmm: I will put them on saturday so I have all the time to make the...
