Anyone try Lace Alumitone pickups. Apparently they don't hum and are wide range like single coils.

Couldn't agree more. But I'm alway trying to figure out the secrect sauce and if there are any more ingredients. I use great true stereo convolution reverb (accounts 60-70% of the great sound), slate digital plugins (I don't actual have it on my bass channel yet).

What are the best plugins right now and what are people using? (I use Apple Logic Amp Designer, Soundtoys Little Radiator now. I have several other brands too)

I use an apogee duet. Am I missing anything sonically being totally in the box? What's the benefit of Avalons and DI box / sans amps over an apogee duet?

Nah. Didn't the pawnshop series sell well? (I know they sold me on several!) And they will always sell the classics. Trying new variations or entirely new product lines shouldn't effect the traditional products, right?
