Too Fast for Love is great, especially the way the bass was mixed. They did a 180 turn on Shout and you cannot hear the bass well at all on that album. Its loud and juuuuuust on the borderline of too much bass without crossing it, for me anyway. Makes learning those songs really easy as well...

You will likely have to raise your bass so your hand is approaching from under the neck. The straighter your wrist is the easier it will be. Ill agree, these new colors would be better served with black hardware. On the natural models I think gold still works best since it blends with the body. It seems to be a thing. Higher Ground is not by any means easy. The slap part can be done fairly sloppily for someone who is learning and spends a bit of time practicing it but it's not as if it's beginner stuff to play well. As you say the rest of the song also shreds along at breakneck speeds...

Always a treat to learn and cover the old Daisley basslines. Ultimately he will probably be the reason I put in work on finger technique. I'm primarily a pick player unless I really want that softer attack but trying to really nail this bassline requires some cheating with a pick.
