    Owning Two Exact Same Basses

My two Tune TWB63OB's. Fretted and fretless respectively. This model is the one that defines Me. When I first got one I loved it so much that I went and bought a second one to have defretted. That was 19 years ago.

How has your taste in music changed with age?

I started out on My Dad's jazz. It lead to Fusion. Which led to Metal and Prog. I then branched out to New Age(Ambient) Which led to Celtic. And an openness to some forms of classical. The one thing that they all have is a high level of technical playing ability. So in essence:nothing has...

    Sure there is.

When Do You Think You Are Overplaying?

Play what's appropriate for the type of music you're playing. If you were subbing for John Myung in Dream Theater, you wouldn't stomp the root in eighth notes when playing "The Dance Of Eternity"

    Conklin Basses

I looked at a GT-7 at a Music Go Round back when I was going to buy a seven stringer in 2014. I don't care for basses with shiny finishes. And that pucker around the output jack turned Me away.

    Markings for fretless

If I have defretted a bass it will have inlayed lines of styrene or wood. and the side dots will be the ones from the original fretted positions. If I buy an unlined fretless, less likely, then I would expect it to have side dots in the 3,5,7,9,12,etc positions.

Strip then stain + oil [re]finish a modern Ibanez EHB?

You don't want another fancy natural wood bass? What kind of talk is that? But seriously,it would be better for you to sell it and buy what you originally wanted.

    Thinnest 6 string bass bridge

It's quite easy to take out saddles and ground off about a .62 or so with a belt sander. Provided that they are flat bottomed. Easy peasy. I've done it a few times.

    NBD Ibanez btb 606

Kudos! You will find that a BTB balances well on a strap. The upper horn reaches the twelfth fret and cancels any neck dive.

James Tyler basses are coming back

It looks like a visual representation of shouting "Tyler" into a digital delay set on infinite slapback.
