+1 to everything above. I think I paid about $130 for mine and have zero buyers remorse. They are comfortable and it's nice to actually be able to hear what's going on (in all frequencies). My only regret is not getting made with buttons flush. I've had them for a few years now and the buttons...

Is this the [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] you're talking about? I don't think they're the same bass. She took the bass to a luthier and they quoted her $1300 to fix it. I think it was a previously repaired crack that opened up again. If it's cosmetic and won't get worse... I really don't...

I love the feeling of flatwounds. The first time I realized I was playing flatwounds was on a vintage Vox hollowbody. Flatwounds don't quite fit my application, but I've found GHS pressure-wounds to be an excellent compromise.
