I misspoke about "centered." I do set them close to the end as well. I simply meant they are inline at 17" and I deal with the intonation from there. Thanks for clarifying so that he did not follow my recommendation exactly as written. ;-)

Centering the Saddles 17" from fret 12 is the right method for bridge placement with a 34" scale. There is a LOT of science in where the pickups "belong" based on the frequency your after and the wave pattern of the string. But the reality is your not gonna hate it anywhere in between...

+1 I have the Husky equivilent to that one and it is fine. You need a big tank so you don't use more ait than the compressor can make. It is ok for it to come on while your using it, but it should not run all the time. otherwise you will get buffeting / pulsing in the air to the gun and it...

I subscribed just to see how this truss rod system works. All I have ever done is the simple Fender style skunk stripe one. This looks like it will be quite sturdy and adjustable when its all done. And of course the rest of the build looks amazing too.

I had to special order the bits for the tuners. The Bushing takes a 47/64" and the peg takes a 9/16". The 47/64" plunge is only as deep as the bushing requires. The tip is a 1/2" pilot. Would have been great if it was 9/16". 19/16" through the center. And now everything fits. I have...

I have seen that and its a pretty cool design. But, It is still essentially the same as the traditional split coil. It's just dressed up like a single. Most importantly, it does not allow for the 60/40 split on wraps to achieve more single coil pinch.
