    Ebonalley: Thanks for posting the info for contacting the guys at Music Corp. Unforunately I found out that the medium scale 5 string with active pickups is not available in the USA. It's exacly what I wanted. Rats!

    I'm sure this has been asked before but I'm new here. I'm looking for recommendations for a light bass with a thin neck, 4 or 5 string? My G & L 5-string is 9 lbs and the neck is too chunky for me. I'm looking for a reasonable price, too.
