That sucks cause I do love the tone of them! Please let me know if you find/think of any that lend themselves to the polyphonic side. Maybe I just need to change my playing style.

Maybe its more of just too much mud? Pretty much I play a low note, but then want to play something high over it while it rings out and its just sounds like glitchy muddy unarticulation. Even with the tone knob fully open.

My signal chain is just mixer with Russian Muff Reissue and sometimes a noise gate in the loop of the mixer. I have also been having an issue at band practice where the muff will high pitch squeal at band practice with everyone packed together, so i havent really been able to use it in the mix...

Dang, I like the deep fuzzy bass that I get from rolling the tone off, might not be good for a band situation though...
