I just bought a Lakland 55-01 about a month ago and highly recommend it. Plays like butter and the sound is pretty incredible. My other bass buddy's couldn't get over the action. I think you would love it.

Got my lakland today and boy was my concerns a non issue! I could not hope or dream for better action. This thing plays like butter. Very impressed with the plek! Incredibly satisfied with my purchase. Now just a couple months of saving for my mk5's i want to install ;)

Update! Ok tried playing softer, lowered pickups. It was still doing it so i thought id try something. I started knocking on the bass with my knuckle gently on the electronics side of the bass body and was able to reproduce the popping noise without playing at all. So now what could it be, Loose...
