    Thinking of getting a first bass. Considering a beat up Peavey Foundation

    I saw that bass on the GC website and it was probably made somewhere from 95- 97. Those bases didn’t really have an issue with the truss rod adjustment. The standard Gibson one works. The older ones with the trapezoid shaped bridge needed the special wrench.

    Which P bass? SQ serial Squier or newer Maui blue P ?

    I’m looking at a SQ serial sunburst Squier P bass with a rosewood board and a Maui blue MIJ P. The Squier has an ash body and weighs a little over 9 lbs. The blue bass is much lighter. Both are in great condition, both necks are nice. All things being equal, what would you pick and why?

    I want to pick up a jazz bass and I’m looking at these two. Both have maple boards. The JB 75 has a natural finish ash body.
