I would prefer a simple precision type bass, non-active. I tend to lean towards Fender type styling

The title says it all… I’m looking for everyone’s recommendations for a bass to use strictly for recording in my home studio. My limit would be $500, and I prefer NEW because I’ve had bad experiences in the past with buying used.

Lol no I bought the DOD a long time ago, I’ve had a lot of different pedals and this one just feels right in the mix of things.

No sorry, this was only in lol no I was just talking about my OD quest separately… I’ve been through a ton of pedals. Compressor wise I had a Boss LMB-3 but ended up selling it because I felt like it did nothing “colorwise”. I guess I want one that will give my tone a little something extra...

Surprisingly I finally settled on a OD pedal… DOD bass overdrive which I got used for like $50. Sounds fantastic!

How is this for bass? I believe this one is supposed to be a clone of the diamond comp correct?
