I have an Epiphone Thunderbird Pro V, i've never really know which gauge to buy, i just got for a heavier set to help tension on the low B (and my tone is usually fairly dub/reggae)
The last two sets of string I bough (unsure of the gauge at the moment) the low B did not fit into the saddle...
Hopefully this is ok/the right place to post this! Ive got an Epi t'bird pro V, I find certain string sets the low b doesn't fit into the saddle fully (unsure of the gauge however, i've usually just bought whatever is in the shop) any tips on a gauge which is guaranteed to fit as i need to buy...

ive never played any ibanez basses, all i have is an active cort c4h and a epiphone embassy, im looking for something with a full tone, and a very prominent, and clean sounding low end, something suitable for playing reggae/dub
im looking at getting a new 5 string bass, as to be honest my epiphone one is terrible, so far i quite like the look of the ibanez btb675 and the ibanez sr605........maximum price will be about 550 pounds, any help would be appreciated
