I'm starting to play acoustic sets with my band and I need acoustic bass. The only problem is I have next to no money. Is there a good acoustic bass I can buy for under $300?

I played an Epiphone Thunderbird at a local music store and it was easily one of the worst basses I have ever played, go with the Gibson.

I completely agree, our lead guitar player is phenomenal. And, not to pat myself on the back, am I pretty good bass player. We've done recordings of practice and he seems to not even notice his inability to play. I don't want to get rid of him, but I'm afraid I might have to.

1.) On the Jazz Basses, I would like a master volume knob. 2.) More finish options, seriously. 3.) Give the squires better stock pickups, because the ones they have are just so god awful.
