Do you guys think a rosewood finger board is easier to bend during humid weather than maple? Humidity here is often around 90% this time of the year. If maple is more resistant to humidity change i might favor it in future purchase

I liked the tone when I play near the bridge with a pick. This position seems ok if I play simple bass lines while muting with the fretting hand. But when i play some intricate stuff it seems muting only with the left hand is not enough. The picking hand can't really mute as the palm has gone...

Thanks for your replies guys, feel better to know that the fretboard groove is an inherent issue. This bass comes with a D tuner, do you guys think that it is going to wear out the nut and the ebony groove more? Would it cause further problems

Seems like it's been mentioned quite a few times about boosting mids to cut through in this forum. But i remember ages ago bryan belier sort of suggest that mid range rich "single bridge pickup" is too midrangy to mix well with guitars (i guess he's referring to cutting through guitars) Bryan...

I used to dig in aggressively when i play hard rock. Though my endurance got better with practice, its really not a very comfortable way to play. Can someone suggest some "tried and tested" way to cut through with a light touch? I use a stingray HH and a AM fender jazz.

Thanks guys for all the info. Does Will get called for Rock gigs? Those that demand steady eighth note stuff. I wonder wht he will add to the song. I hv an impression he get called mostly on song that need some kind of groove than straight ahead eighth note.

Does he have his own sound? the sound/style u recognize is will lee playing on the record. I bet it is less obvious as he plays for the song. But james jamerson's style is quite obvious for a session musician.

What in your opinion is great about Will Lee? People mention him as top notch. But as a session bassist he play rather meat and potatoes. What makes him so unique and what are some of his greatest work. Plz share some vids. I've seen his name appear on magazines n ads that make me curious.

Did it hv any obvious popping n scratching noise? Mine sounds like someone has messed with the eq, no noise at all when it changes tone.
