Any bass which its upper cutaway is not aligned with the middle of the scale (mostly at 12th fret) would have a neck dive. Also, old hardware on the headstock such.as reversed kluson tunning pegs moslty found i 60s fenders would provide same bad experience.

Thanks, _al! Actually I meant how to cancel the hum forever... Like shielding. For recording purposes Im using the old string in the pocket trick. But I would love to kill the hum definitely. Thanks!
