I respect and admire John Lennnon and Pete Townsend. They say they were influenced by Link Wray, the godfather of bar cords and distortion. he is cool. I think I may want to play bass. Wasn't it Cream were bruces vocals lulled us all into nirvana???? just chat'n and it's late -- please...

so many posts... on do you talk guitarists... I am only asking cause I am trying to learn. My best friend can play any instrument, and he told me John Bonham (sp?) played a lot of the guitar parts. To ME the BASS is the BACKBONE.:eek:

Hi just wondering if any bass players ever talk about guitarists and why they have influenced them. As a guitar player, I have always found that bass players tend to be deep thinkers and rather quiet. :cool:
