I am a new member, is there anyway to see new postings for threads I am interested in, or even posted in?

On the toolbar above the first post on the page on the right hand side is Thread Tools, click on it and choose the bottom option, Subscribe to this thread. You can also go to My Talkbass on the left side of the main toolbar and change to the default settings so that you subscribe to any thread you have posted in. You can also subscribe to forums to see any updates or new treads added to any specific subforum during the day.
