NOT HERESY lol, standard on most of my axes...I think adding "non-standard" necks from fleabay "the Chinese necks" to a Glarry work, but IME not Fender/Squier necks unless you don't mind your saddles bottomed out it'll most likely need a shim. Check out Allen Eden Oly white bodies they go on sale occasionally for $114-$124 seemingly nice bodies and IIRC standard Fender sizeI'd do the same thing, to be honest (considering that whole "let's stick a 1.65 neck on the Glarry jazz bass" thing) but by the time I end up doing that, I could just get a CV... It wouldn't be white, but... Meh.
I was even just looking on eBay a few minutes ago to see what kind of Oly White bodies they have but those are running into the CV prices just by themselves...
and
shim
HERESY!
Glarry Burlywood!!! To match your black blocks I would just leave the black p/u covers and/or hit the PG with black Krylon.i have 2 bodiless necks, for future reference, what body color goes with a yellow neck?View attachment 4320359
Nice EatS...now it all makes sense, after all I am a Libra...Pairs = Balance
So, the funkmasters are on the Harley,Unlined Fretless and Skinnies.

Nice Ronzo! Although mine are not maternal I have a thing for "pairs" seems a little odd to others including my better half, but your post makes me feel, uh, a little less weird somehow, so thanks for that.![]()
that's a great looking ax!my recent parts P build...Such a nice player!
truth!I think adding "non-standard" necks from fleabay "the Chinese necks" to a Glarry work, but IME not Fender/Squier necks unless you don't mind your saddles bottomed out it'll most likely need a shim.
You just gave me a flash back to sitting in the basement of Evans hall at Cal...God, please don't let me drop my box of punch cards...until someone told me to take a marker and draw a diagonal line across the top of the cards. Coke and doritos, the food of champions (at 2am)Certain phrases can betray the era you are from.
This is one of them.
I haven't seen a computer punch card in ages.
re: the general discussion of shims: shims aren't the enemy and their use does not constitute a failure. it's the opposite = shims are a tool (an actual part) and they can save a project/effort --- a shim can help make a player out of the rest of the assembled parts!
i have 2 bodiless necks, for future reference, what body color goes with a yellow neck?
but if my shoulder keeps disintegrating i may have to give it up and try a shorter scale.
Happy to help!Nice Ronzo! Although mine are not maternal I have a thing for "pairs" seems a little odd to others including my better half, but your post makes me feel, uh, a little less weird somehow, so thanks for that.

No luck as of yet AND running out of room, but In the meantime as @Deleted member 365158 would say "others keep showing up". I tell myself this is the last one but I have zero illusions and I am of course lying to myself as I have extra necks Lying around that need bodies.
Glarry sale? Might just end up with a white Glarry Jazz then add shim and affix a CV 70's blocked and bound J neck and Musiclily tort pick-guard, it never ends!
Lol!Nice EatS...now it all makes sense, after all I am a Libra...![]()
Thank you for your service!I already missed the 80s.
Seriously, I joined the Navy in early 82, so almost all of the events of the 80s and 90s are kinda vague for me, unless they involved being on a submarine.
I love it like it is!NOT HERESY lol, standard on most of my axes...I think adding "non-standard" necks from fleabay "the Chinese necks" to a Glarry work, but IME not Fender/Squier necks unless you don't mind your saddles bottomed out it'll most likely need a shim. Those supplements I talked about should help you to rebuild that shoulder without surgery!thanks for the reference, spatters!that particular strap technique has limitations when playing the higher notes (i play a bunch of those), but i can see that the "money notes" would be more comfortable. the fact remains that i may have to try a different approach with the strap and the 'hang' --- e.g., i've made adjustments for my fatness in the past few years.
i also have an m-brace on a good stand (which has helped me previously).
i'm thinking that the best fix, overall, is to get a new shoulder!i'm just not excited about it!
