Me and you are almost the same breed of mongrel except I've got more French than anything. French, Scottish, Irish, Dutch German and American Indian (no idea which tribe)

Lotta Jewish folks in the area and I've played extended engagements at predominantly Jewish hotels, so I've picked up some Yiddish expressions over the years-and some great jokes. If ya understand them(cultural references, etc.).

Found this used, got it today, set it up, really like it sounds great with the strings shown. Moved Strap button to the horn. Only mod planned is tuners. 2009 Epiphone SG1 Bass, Short Scale
I also got a used EB-0. Can I get a number? (Feels good to have an SGSO again!)
Did a little more than I planned on this. After playing it a bit, went ahead a installed a 30k pickup from ebay, Grover Tuners, Hipshot supertone bridge, CTS pots and PIO cap, and ZeroMod thumbrest. End result? Created a monster, really powerful deep tone. Using Gibson Short Scale flats.

To my Canadian Basspeeps I found a place which has the Hipshot Supertones in stock and for a proper price. They're also Montreal based, Prospec Strings.
I've not used them before so we'll see how this all goes but they could be a promising source of gear for the future!
I'm going to see how I dig a black bridge with the standard tuners. The tuners aren't great but... they work and at $40 each Ultralites will cost as much as the bass itself! Heck the bridge already almost doubled its cost. Not that that really matters, but I'm thinking for now just stick with a new bridge.

I know how you feel! My bridge on this bass cost more than double than the bass did. So did the case. And the pickups, etc.? Let's not even go there. It was a good time when 60s Starfires were less than $300.

I see that you went full West Coast on that Starfire...
There's an "Amebicized" one at R&R HOF museum...can't recall whether it belonged to Lesh or Casady, but I think the latter.
I do get a huge smile across my face every time I see that Guild of yours, though...
