Of mine? Haven’t got any. Looks like a Stingray! Sounds & plays like one too. :)

A bit body heavy with the slab body, which some would say is a good thing. The best bass SBMM made, IME having owned & gigged a lot of EBMM Rays.

Agreed. Ca is Iconic in it's own right and sounds unlike any MusicMan
I own. Slab does take some getting used to if you're accustomed to
light contoured ergonomic bodies. Feels similar to my '76 Ray. Quality craftsmanship.

Can anyone tell me if there is a finish on the roasted maple necks or is it just bare wood?

If it’s a bare wood, what is a good way to preserve it? Tips are helpful, thanks.
According to Zack at Sterling, the “neck is finished in a vintage tinted matte lacquer”. I had the same question. My 34 did not come with any use/care directions. Zack also recommends just wiping down with micro fiber cloth.

Just got a Sterling by Music Man Sub4. In the process of Modifying it to my preferences. So far put in the Seymour Duncan A5 Music man pickup, wired in parallel. Installed Hipshot HB1 tuners. (not a straight Drop in) on the Bass side. Still waiting for the Treble side tuner. Installed Zero Mod Thumbrest. If anyone is interested in any of those mods? Just ask happy to answer any questions. Some pics.

I picked up a hard case for my Ray5. Fits great! I was fortunate enough to place my order the night before the sale ended and the price went from $69.99 back to its regular $99.99. Yay! (Musician’s Gear case from Musician’s Friend). I ordered it Sunday night and it arrived Tuesday afternoon. I live three hours from the KC distribution center.

Got the treble side tuner, installed it, they really are much smoother than the original tuners. It is not a straight drop in replacement. will have to drill two new top mounting holes. Attached some pics. Used Hipshot HB1 Tuners, regular key. Also used the stock ferrules, saved the hipshot ferrules in case.

Have you ever pondered the question...

I wanted to add some weight to the body because the Ray34CA suffers from a neckdive but it turns out the stock bridge weighs exactly the same as the AllParts Omega. But I already had the stock bridge off so I thought, ah what the heck, it will look cool. And it does imo, but it doesnt really do anything.
