Tried something new for me, put Long Scale strings on my Short Scale Mustang. Was curious how it would work out. Really liking coated strings so tried the Elixir Nano Web strings, really nice, sounds great, little more bite to them but still very warm.

I have grown to dislike the term upgrade; it's come to mean tinkering and swapping out bolt on parts in attempting to transform something into a far superior product than what it actually is. Unfortunately, many people shell out money for these hardware items rather than putting the money towards what the instrument really needs. You can polish a POS all you want, but it just creates a shiny POS. Ranting over with.

I would suggest that the best thing anyone could do to upgrade their instrument is to get the fretboard levelled and professionally setup. This will do more for playability than any bolt on hardware.

Respectfully disagree, setup yes, POS no.
