Acoustic Mini Bass Strings - XTB3790GS v.s. EXPPBB190GS

One has replaced the other. My guess is the basic, pre-coated string is the same, but the coating type changed (EXP -> XT):

I wonder if, and if so when, they'll come out with bass string of the third coating type of theirs (XS), which I believe is similar to the Elixir method (in that it is applied to the whole string, like a stocking, as opposed to the winding wire prior to winding).
