I've been trying my SVpre every which way now for over a year. I began to realize that with everything at noon (or off or neutral) it sounded almost identical as my Traynor amplifiers alone. The special thing about the SVpre is the Lo and Hi switches. Honestly, I can get close enough (almost indistinguishable) to this with the amplifier eq's (Bass and Treble boost, Mid cuts). The only real contribution of the SVpre is the subtle overdrive capability. And for this I find the Broughton Scorpion much better. So, in the drawer for now, less clutter and signal loss.
