I am not sure what happened to my amp. When I turn it on, it sounds noisy, not quite like static, just noisy. When I play it, if it hits a peak it cuts out almost like it restarts. I have to wait for that lag time like at startup and then it plays again. But again, if I drive it at all it cuts...

Is there a way to mount these in a rack?

update: Got a great deal from SA. Ordering a PF800 right now.

I am running a Crown XLS 1500 which sends 1550 watts bridged. Thats at $350. The PF 500 is $399 and you can get the $50 mail in rebate on the ampeg site. The 800 is $599. If I really need the 800 I might just go with another crown.

I keep reading folks who use their 350 to run their 2x10 and thats not what I am using it for. Just want full response if that makes sense. What are you using yours on?

Guess I am not using a true preamp, I use a sansamp bddi as a pre because the crown needs higher amperage in. I use the +10db option on it and get pretty good power. Thanks for the reply
