I've been looking into a cheap, 'gigging' bass that I could use without concern of damaging. I've looked around a lot, and the only ones I can find that are both inexpensive and new were the Rogue and SX basses. Though I have not totally ruled out Rogue, the SX basses seem to get better reviews...
