    NBD: Dean Edge Q6

After missing having a 6 string bass for almost a year, I got this Dean Edge Q6. I bought it from a friend who gave me a nice discount, and since he's a luthier the bass was already set up, with nice fret work and low action with zero buzzing. It looks great (at least to me), sounds and plays...

    NBD!!! Yamaha TRBX 305

While looking for a six string bass but not finding anything convincing, i found this Yamaha TRBX 305, new. The price was right, and after some thinking on whether it would be the right bass for me or not, I decided to take it home with me. I loved the sound, and the tonal options this bass...

    Headstock on EB 3, width???

I'm about to trade one of my basses for an Epiphone EB 3. I've noticed the headstock is quite wide, with the big clover leaf tuners sticking out considerably on each side. Can anyone tell me either in inches or centimeters how wide the headstock is, including tuners? I want to make sure it fits...

NBD! Squier Affinity Jazz bass V

Well, it was actually last week, but I could take pictures until today. Not much to say since many of you are already familiar with these babies. Suffice to say I'm super happy with it, and it's a solid bass, with great quality and sound, and no fret problems whatsoever. Anyway, here are some pics.

    NBD Active/Passive 5 string backup

I was recently looking for a cheapo 5 string backup for my Ibanez SR, and came across one of these: an Eagle five string active/passive bass with push-pull knob. I really like the looks of it, no idea what the wood is but it surely has a nice grain, which shows off well, and it's obiviously...

NBD! Eagle "Super Bass" (Nice P Bass Knockoff)

So after a few months with major GASsing over one of these I finally got it: a Super Bass by Eagle basses (not such a known brand I know), but a fine bass nonetheless. I got a great deal on this, the equivalent of $110 US. What can I say, at first I thought these basses were a joke, but a closer...

True temperament fret system: tell me all about it!

Hello fellow bassists, I was wondering if any of you could enlighten me on the true temperament fret system I've seen on some basses and guitars. I haven't found a lot of information on the web, so I decided to come here to see if I could find some answers. What exactly is it used for? How...

Does anybody know about Harley Benton and Strinberg basses?

Hello dear fellows, As I was browsing the web, I came across some pictures of a Hartley Benton bass guitar, which looks very well made, but I was amazed at how low the price is. I wanted to find out more about the brand, and I found pictures of other Harley Benton basses that look exactly the...
