    Fender P pickups + SD Quart Pound J pickup?

    Hey guys, I'm refurbishing an old Japanese Aria which has a P + J pickup configuration. I'm looking to get a solid, funk, rockish tone on it and was thinking of mixing original Fender P pickups with a Seymour Duncan Quarter Pound J pickup. Would that work, you think?
