    Is it ok to be hitting a string with my joint?

    And I mean like if I have to go from 11 fret D to 11th fret G I just bring my finger down and hold the string with the boney part of my finger. Picture for reference :

    How should I practice using my ring and pinky finger on plucking hand.

    I've been playing for about 4 1/2 months already (loving it) and I've been using my middle and index fingers since I've started. But I want to get more technical. Especially for songs like YYZ. How should I practice using them?

    Anybody know where you could find a Fender Jaguar Bass?

    Rickenback 4001 or 4003

    Amp making buzzing noise. Is this normal?

    So I have a Fender Rumble 15 and whenever I have my bass plugged in, it makes a buzzing noise and the only way to stop it is if I tilt my bass a certain way. I have used different cables and seems to do it with all of them. Is this a technical problem or is it normal?
