Does anyone have a Ampeg STV 2-PRO running off 240v? If so, and it's newish, would they take a picture of the bottom where the transformer taps are? You'd have to take the bottom plate off, but you'd be doing me a massive favour Nice one Jamie

Yeah it is, Dino at Ampeg support said that it shouldn't need new transformers, the plot thickens....

Also, it's brand new, straight outta the box.

**** you guys are the best!!! The guy i'm taking the amp to does some work for Ampeg and Mesa through the official channels so he's a qualified tech, however the amp is currently at a different place and so i haven't got the s/n at the moment. As soon as i get it i will post it here...

NOTE: People of the UK don't buy Ampeg stuff from the states, especially the SVT 2PRO, it needs 2 new transformers AND will take 3 months to get the parts!!!!

Yeah man. The new ones have multi tap transformers on them, you can see the taps for connection. I think i'll just double check with my tech friend that he feels confident before i let him do anything, or BOOM! Also, anyone know how to discharge tubes without turning the amp on?

Jeeeze! That sounds like a mission and a half! It's less complicated i think, but i just need to know what nuumber taps i take the connectors off and which ones i put it back on again. Hmmmm

So your saying use an oscilloscope to find out the voltages then? The connection part seems easy, unsoldered lugs, also i have the information for a svt 3 pro, would that be the same connection settings for uk and us you think?
