    A quick update on neck dimensions - the bass was ordered with a 'Big' neck - depth is 0.875" at the first fret and 1" at the 12th fret. Nut is standard precision width (I think - I can check). I have the paperwork and tools that were supplied with the bass.

    Anybody here used to the new SX headstock, or does it still cause a gag reflex?

    I suspect that the AC headstock is the way it is for a reason (not just brand differentiation) - I'm pretty convinced that the extra mass assists in the elimination of dead/dull spots. I'm not the biggest fan of the shape either but certainly wouldn't cut into it. To be honest, the headstock...
