A bit late to the discussion. I was installing P-46 pickups in my Yamaha BB434 and the foam wasn't push the pickup high enough. I found out the springs in clicky pens are the perfect size for spring-on-screw. :)

Does Peavey still have millennium preamps in stock? I thought they ran out a few months ago. If they still have them I have to order one too.

Just to throw a monkey wrench into this, I remember the BTB 1305e prestige is actually made in Korea, not Japan. And it was a bit of controversy over the Prestige label.

I believe the 1305 has USA bart pickups as well as US Bart preamp, not the MK2.

That is interesting body wood grain. I almost want to say it's bubinga, but to my untrained eye the wood grain doesn't seem like bubinga.... the grain kinda look like ash..

The ESP LTD Surveyor series comes with P/MM configuration with coil tap. Granted the P is in a soap bar casing, so it doesn't have the traditional split pickup look.

Lesson learned. Make sure I bump every day. I was busy with work and forgot to bump last week. That's probably why you missed it. Hope you enjoy your new bass!:hyper:

I have a bb424 as well. The knob closest to neck is volume. Second knob is tone. The switch selects pickups used. When switched toward the neck, the P pick up is selected. Middle position blends both pickup. Switched away from the neck the j (rail) pickup is selected.

Are you muting the b string while slapping? It can resonate and muddy up your tone.
