2 cents: just received an SX Ursa 2 maple neck 3TS in sunburst w/ black pickguard from Rondo. Purchased from Amazon. Pros: neck feels and plays like butter. Body is almost identical to the Geddy Lee Fender. Pickups sound fine to me - so far. Headstock better in person vs online. $149 + ~ $20...

Did you go with the black or sunburst? I've only seen the black in person, but really love that sunburst in the pics I've seen online. Thanks!

Thanks for the insight and advice! That gloss board just feels no nice - I'm afraid it's a must-have feature. Too bad most fretboards are not finished this way. I am salivating over the Geddy in sunburst. Probably going to pull the trigger soon, although the Squier CV 50's ain't too shabby...
