We have a similar issue at our church - but it's the WL on Guitar who's giving all the bass...so the bassist gets dialed out of the mix. Now that we've figured out our computer-based recording approach (only took a few years to work it out...), we can show what the "real" mix is, and how bass...

A co-worker has a couple of black walnut trees that have been "curing" in his back yard for a few years...he said I could have it to make a guitar or two with. And that it's a very dense wood. So; would it make a good fretboard?
